Dark Disciple – Christie Golden

Cheers the spirit, humor does, even at the darkest times.

Dark Disciple is an extension of The Clone Wars, which is based on eight unproduced episodes. It takes place between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. You don’t necessarily have to know much about these characters to read this particular story, however it does help to know some of their backstory at least. The protagonist is Asajj Ventress, who is a Nightsister; Sith-in-training; bounty hunter. She truly is a multidimensional character!  Continue reading “Dark Disciple – Christie Golden”

Ahsoka – E.K. Johnston

Ahsoka watched. Ahsoka waited. Ahsoka was not afraid.

Not to state the obvious, but this is a book for people that are already familiar with Ahsoka Tano. Ahhh. My beloved Ahsoka, the young Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. We are introduced to Ahsoka (Snips) in The Clone Wars. Although not the most popular character at the beginning, she quickly became a cherished fan favorite! Hence why she has a full book dedicated to her story! I absolutely adore her. Full of snark, Ahsoka is a kickass, savage warrior! She is also incredibly loyal, moral & stands up for what she believes in. She is easily one of my top characters, within the old legends & new canon.  Continue reading “Ahsoka – E.K. Johnston”

I feel that after having read three books by Abercrombie, I can now fully say that he has such an intrinsic narrative voice.. & I cannot get enough of it!  Continue reading “Half a War – Joe Abercrombie”
